It’s down to hours now... Months of work and years of dreaming are coming to a head with the creation of our own online shop for our own brand.
We became best friends in the 6th grade during an after school program- both of us a little out of step with the world but perfectly synced with each other. We were the definition of opposites attracting- Kayla was a magnet for fun and friends, and I preferred to arrange details in the background. However, arts and crafts were an area that both of us excelled in. Movie & Craft nights started early, blooming from scrapbooking during “Space Cowboys” to creating clay polymer slabs while binging “The Stand”. We’ve built floats, decorated Homecoming dances, moved states, and learned the mysteries of the Cricut together. While our individual tastes are night and day, we end up creating an aesthetic that is feminine and fun with a healthy dose of Midwest sarcasm.
The amazing experience in doing something like this together is that we get to experience a side of each other that we haven’t ever gotten to before- the side that takes risks and shoulders responsibilities as a team instead of being torn apart by stress and drama. This past year has taught us all that there are many things not in our control, and it is our duty as humans to create love and beauty wherever we can in the world. This is our little contribution to the bigger goal of working toward a better tomorrow- both for ourselves and for everyone else.
We believe in equality, love, understanding, respect, and staying out the drama’s way. We also believe in movie nights, cinnamon rolls, and cruising around the country at night. We want our friends to be happy, strangers to feel good, and everyone in the world to decorate their space and their bodies the way that makes them feel beautiful. We are so excited to share our love with you— now back to figuring out how the frig this website works!
